With most boards meeting once a month, it doesn't provide board members with the necessary time to get organized.  Boards almost always are behind the 8-ball.  It becomes very difficult to get organized when you face common challenges such as changes to the board, new property managers, or changing the management company.  Add the pressure of getting everything done in one day per month and it can be quite a challenge.

Some inexperienced property managers can really set a board back.  The can turn an organized board into a mess within a few meetings.  Management companies are only as strong as their property managers, and communities are only as strong as the board that represents them.  If everyone isn't in sync 1 party or the other will have to start playing catch up, and that will lead to organizational issues.
